This XXII Sebastià Colomer i Torrella Course is intended to help understand the current geopolitical situation, emphasizing in the warmongering critique. Conflicts can be addressed and resolved through international relations not based on militarism. Common sense and rationality are needed in Europe’s rulers’ policies. The construction of security and peace begins with the path of distension, cooperation, disarmament, with the aim of building a peaceful coexistence, a common security framework shared among states that prevents the war economy to transform it into a peace economy.
