“Welcome, the shelter experience” exhibition

“Welcome, the shelter experience” photo exhibition. The exposition performs a journey through faces, spaces and scenes that manifest the experiences of refugee people in different temporal and geographical areas. This is achieved because of a mix between current images of the humanitarian crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and images of previous crises, such as those in Syria or those that continue to occur in Central America, without forgetting about our Southern border. The exhibition poses a critical reflection on the “Welcome” concept and the contrast between the policies and the wills of reception and the policies and wills that are openly racist, xenophobic or reject people who arrive in our territory seeking refuge.
