“The sparrow girl” storytelling

An environmental story based on Sara Pennypacker’s book “The sparrow girl”, inspired by a real event, expresses the importance of each species in the life cycle. In the 1950s China, Mao Zedong declared war on sparrows in rural areas, eradicating almost all the birds and creating an environmental catastrophe, until Ming-Li decides to save as many sparrows as she can.
