Since the 16th century, Latin America has experienced intensive exploitation of its mineral resources. Today, mineral exports remain an economic pillar, despite heavy environmental and social consequences. Through his photographs, Alessandro Cinque documents the impacts of mining in Andean countries. His work highlights the threats facing indigenous peoples and their territories. A photographic series that examines the human and environmental consequences of extractivism.
