“Bamako’s story: a girl who has to flee” storytelling

Description of the event: Bamako, a little girl, lives happily in her village with her family and friends. War forces them to flee to a new and uncertain place. Along the journey, her family, as they did at home, tells her stories that help her understand and face the new reality. This activity, in a storytelling format, introduces children to key concepts such as the right to asylum and the value of reception and protection, and raises awareness of the situation of thousands of refugees who must leave their homes due to conflict and human rights violations.
Objective: raise awareness about the reality of refugees who flee their homes because of belic conflicts.
Target audience: families and children from 4 to 10 years old.
Duration: 50 minutes.
Time: 17.30h.
This event will be organized in collaboration with Xarxa Municipal de Biblioteques Centelles.
