“A Plastic Sea” exhibition by the photojournalist from Olot Martí Albesa

“The Plastic Sea” is a photographic exhibition located on the coast of Almeria and it is part of the 8th Awareness Campaign on the situation of refugee people. It refers to the more than 30.000 field hectares where they work and live in very precarious working and living conditions, therefore violating the human rights of more than 4.000 migrant people, many of them asylum or refugee seekers. Guided tours have been organized with around twenty groups of secondary school, post-compulsory education (high school and vocational training) and adult education centres, as well as with people from civil society organizations together with elected staff, municipal civil servants, and members of the Municipal Council of Cooperation.
