Across several continents, the film follows the consequences of land grabbing by multinationals. It gives a voice to indigenous peoples and rural communities facing this extractive system. From Cambodia to Cameroon, their testimonies recount the struggles to preserve their land, their cultures, and their identity.
The documentary notably revisits a historic trial involving indigenous communities and the French group Bolloré. Part investigation, part travelogue, “Pilleurs de terre” offers a sensitive immersion into the heart of these battles and their environmental and human stakes.
