Soliris Day 2025

On December 10th, the Brussels Parliament opens its doors to all those who bring international solidarity to life on a daily basis. Associations, municipalities, diasporas, engaged citizens: come and share your ideas, your stories, your visions.

This day is much more than an event. It is a laboratory for engagement, a space for dialogue, an open stage where local practices and global issues intersect. Together, we will reflect on mechanisms that foster citizen engagement, on synergies between municipalities and civil society, and on strategic perspectives for 2030. This edition is part of the European Days of Local Solidarity (EDLS), initiated by PLATFORMA.

PROGRAM (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM):
2:00 PM – Badge distribution to participants
2:30 PM – Welcome address & speed-dating
3:00 PM – Debate in the plenary chamber: What mechanisms exist to promote civic engagement in international solidarity in Brussels?
5:00 PM – Q&A session with the moderator
5:30 PM – Signing of the Charter of the European Days of Local Solidarity
6:00 PM – Cocktail reception & networking
