The Kabul Teapot

‘A Teteira de Kabul’ is a puppet theatre piece for family audiences that invites us to reflect on forced migrations and the role of host societies. This proposal by Xarope Tulú, in co-production with the NGO Asemblea de Cooperación pola Paz, is an adaptation of the homonymous story by Carolina Pujadas, based in turn on the childhood memories of the Afghan activist Nadia Ghulam, a refugee in Spain. With a prominent presence of the oral tradition, transmitted by women, the work speaks of the experiences of people who are forced to leave their homes because of war, persecution, poverty, etc.
